Background: ownership, sourcing and positioning
Addiction and Trilogy offer two different approaches to the Australian cat food market. Addiction uses genuinely unusual proteins including New Zealand brushtail possum, venison, kangaroo, salmon and eel. Trilogy uses deliberately regional proteins including Northern Territory barramundi, outback kangaroo and Australian salmon alongside New Zealand lamb. Both brands lean on protein variety as a marker of difference from mainstream cat food.
Addiction operates one of New Zealand's largest dry pet food plants and runs a sizeable contract-manufacturing business alongside its own brand.
Trilogy is built on a three-pillar philosophy of protein, grasses and water, translated into grain-free kibble with freeze-dried meat inclusions and wet food in bone broth.

Off. Only products with a clean dry matter basis appear, and life stages are kept comparable. This is the default.
